Briggs Stratton 375 Sprint Govenor Spring

Last February 25 was released Alpha 3 version of Ubuntu 10.04. It can already be seeing some of the changes we're going to find when, within less than two months, the final release.

Start the veteran and Asus Eee PC 701 with this version of operating system. We note that this includes the 02/06/1932 version of the kernel, Gnome 2.29 and

In the system menu (System → Preferences) find options to manage messaging and VoIP preferences

With respect to the browser, Firefox 3.6 is included, which we can see that has changed the default search engine: Google has been replaced by Yahoo. However, we can easily choose from several search engines, as had been happening so far.

As an anecdote, mention that among the games included gBrainy: A brain training game similar to those that have become popular with a handheld.

The rest of the software, has also been updated. For example, it includes the latest currently available version (3.2) of the OpenOffice.org office suite.

Perhaps the most remarkable change in terms of software is included in the section image and multimedia: Removed GIMP and included a video editor: PiTiVi

Other software attention is onBoard : A keyboard on the screen, related to accessibility issues. I am left with the question of whether it will be usable from a touch screen.

deserves special mention already valuable disk utility. This utility has been expanded and improved so that it becomes a quick entry point for almost any operation or test we want to make our data storage devices. As a comment, indicating that these latest screens are captured on a computer Asus Eee PC 1005HA (equipped with an Intel Atom processor N270).

A final comment related to multimedia and codecs: The system in its current version is not capable of playing videos. After testing with different formats (h264, xvid, mpeg) observed that the system can not even get a mpeg1 codecs. We assume that is typical of the alpha and hope not to meet in the final version with limitations or restrictions in terms of available codecs. Recently
